Fabric guidelines to keep them durable

For best results we always advise to dry clean especially if the item has hand embellishment or heavy embroidery; however, if you do wish to wash then check the fabric options below.

Dry Clean Only. Do not iron directly

Dry clean only – may damage if ironed. Hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent. Never scrub vigorously or wring the garment. To prevent crushing or flattening the design, always iron on the wrong side of the fabric.

Chiffon comes in many types but generally use low temperature for all chiffon. However, the fabric is still delicate enough that it should be hand washed with cold water only and never run through a washing machine.

Any good detergent can be used to wash cotton. Cotton can be easily laundered. It can withstand high temperatures. A higher heat setting is needed in the dryer to dry cotton. Cotton will take much longer to dry than less absorbent fibers.

For best results wash be hand or dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Do not iron on right side. Use cool iron on wrong side or under a damp cloth.

If washable best to hand wash. Roll in towel to absorb moisture. Do not tumble. Iron on reverse or under damp cloth.

Georgette fabric can be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent and hung to dry, although it should be kept out of the sun to avoid fading.

Jacquard is a type of fabric in which the design is woven into the fibers, rather than being printed on the surface. While dry cleaning is generally recommended for jacquard fabric.

Dry clean is recommended and retains the original crisp finish to the fabric. Some linen is washable, while others are dry clean only. Linen apparel can be washed easily and become softer with use. Note: Hand washing softens the feel of the linen which is sometimes preferred.

Cotton nets should be washed in hot water. Cool wash for synthetics net. Do not wring. Dress nets should be cool washed by hand or dry cleaned.

Dry clean or wash with great care as fabric is delicate. Drip dry if washed.

Dry cleaning is generally preferred, since laundering detergent and dyes in other clothes may adversely affect silk fabric. For items without linings and without embellishments attached, careful hand washing is permissible, with mild soap and lukewarm water. Chlorine bleach should never be used on silk. For long-time storage, silk should be sealed against light, air and insects. Dry cleaning of fine silks extends the life of the garment, and protects its natural beauty.

Dry cleaning is generally preferred, since laundering detergent and dyes in other clothes may adversely affect sateen fabric. For items without linings and without embellishments attached, careful hand washing is permissible, with mild soap and lukewarm water. Chlorine bleach should never be used on silk. For long-time storage, sateen should be sealed against light, air and insects. Dry cleaning of printed sateen extends the life of the garment, and protects its natural beauty.

Velvet must be handled carefully and stored properly because folds and creases can permanently flatten the surface. To get creases out of velvet, use a steamer. Velvet can be made from many different fabrics. Some velvet is machine washable, but many require dry cleaning. Hand or machine wash in lukewarm water. Never use chlorine bleach on any fabric containing Lycra.

Viscose is used mainly for fine, fashionable articles and linings. Colored’s and prints should always be washed separately from other articles. Dry cleaning is recommended as viscose weakens in water. If material has lustrous or deep look to it care must be taken when ironing it will readily shine. Washing Instructions by Product Type

Any casual suits or kurti that has no embellishment or heavy embroidery please hand wash in cold water or to maintain quality of the fabric you can dry clean. Plain lawn outfits or Kurti (non-embroidered) are fine to cold hand wash; however with thicker fabrics like Karandi, Khaddar, Linen and Cottel you will get shrinkage if you machine was so best to cold hand wash or dry clean.

Any embellished or heavy embroidered suits or Kurti we recommend dry clean only. Embellishment can contain dyes so they will colour run. In addition, embroidery and embellishment can shrink which will cause the fabric to pull.
